Foreword
This report is about crucial changes. Its title “SpurWechsel”, German for lane change, stands for kicking our transformation towards sustainable mobility into high gear. It is based on the conviction that “business as usual” is not an option in times of climate change. At Daimler we are therefore pursuing our vision of a mobility that does not require fossil fuels, consumes fewer resources, and does not cause accidents or traffic jams.
ForewordChange
We are living in a time of transformation. Demographic development, increasing digitalization, and climate change are only a few examples of that. We are tackling these challenges at Daimler, and we have developed clear areas of action in line with them. Our corporate culture is also changing. Integrity, diversity, and digital work processes are essential to the success of this transformation. And because no single player can master this transformation alone, we are seeking dialog and entering into strong partnerships.
